Spine edges are worn. Corners are bumped. Front and rear joints cracked. Inscription in ink to title page. Some light foxing. Illustrations are bright. Title page detached.

Large format. Green cloth with gilt titles and decorations. Colour title page. A collection of 34 ferns, pressed into the book, with tissue-guards and a full page description for each fern type. Side of spine is split with some fraying. All samples are present, but a few loose (at least 3). Some tissue-guards are creased. An unusual item.
