Green endpapers. All edges gilt. Corners are bumped and worn with some surface loss to leather on rear cover and a couple of corners. Front joint is cracked. All plates present. Some light marks to page margins.
Deluxe red leather binding with gilt decoration to spine and vignette/border to front cover. All edges gilt. 99 pages. B/w text illustrations. 2ND edition of the Deluxe calf binding, although 10th edition of this title overall. Damp mark to bottom edge of front cover that is 1" in height at most. Damp is also to rear cover at base, next to spine and in triangular patch outwards. Chipping to leather at base of spine, with a little loss. Bumping to top of spine and corners. A few scuff marks to covers. Damp patches go through to pastedowns and endpapers and few pages of book either side. Browning and foxing. Some grubby margin marks. Covers nice and bright.

Pink pictorial endpapers. 12 beautiful colour plates with captioned tissue-guards. 287 pages. Top edge gilt. Minimal rubbing to spine and corners. Endpapers very slightly grubby, small piece torn from margin of front free-endpaper (and neatly stuck back in). Name and date in ink to verso of front free-endpaper. Light crack to rear pastedown, grubby mark to margin of rear free-endpaper. Tissue-guard to frontis is detached (very neatly) but still present. Some fingermarking to tissue-guards and very light marking to some of plate margins, minimal foxing to outer page edges, but overall a very nice copy indeed!

Original tree calf covers. The large folding map of Yorkshire has been restored. The large folding map of England, Wales and Scotland has been repaired. The map referred to in the New Itinerary is not present. Corners slightly worn.
