Brown leather with small raised bands to spine. Gilt decorations and borders. Scuffing to covers, with some wear to edges; couple of splits to spines. A few ink stamps to prelims. Page browning and some foxing. There are some red ink annotations to two of the maps and a light red stain to map of The Travels of the Apostle Paul. Still a very good set for its age.

Volume I - Front cover is held on by stitching - leather has broken away. Foxing and page browning throughout; leather piece to top of spine has small piece missing. Volume II - Covers are held on by stitching only. Some loss to leather on spine. Front endpaper is nearly detached. Some grubby marks and foxing.

Large format. Blue leather spines with gilt titles and intricate decorations. Blue cloth covers with gilt titles. Captioned, tissue-guard plates. Limited edition to 350 copies. These volumes are copy no. 20. Spines are faded; now look green. Some bumping and wear to cover edges and corners. A little brown spotting to covers. Bookplates to front pastedowns. Names in ink to front endpapers. Page browning; some foxing. The books appear to have been restitched at one time - bindings are nice and tight.
Dark green leather binding with gilt titles and decorations. This is 3 volumes that have been bound into two books. Elaborate manuscript presentation; leaf inscribed 'To Anne Hoare...' bound into the front of each volume. 119 hand-coloured plates. All edges gilt. Some light bumping and wear to spine, corners and cover edges. A bit of scuffing along some cover edges. Some foxing and page browning internally. Hand coloured plates are all present and exquisite!

Some marks and wear to covers, especially to leather spine and corners. Names in ink to prelims. Quite heavy foxing throughout. Damp mark to a few pages, mostly to rear.

Volume TWO ONLY! The Tour in North Wales MDCCLXXIII. Leather binding. Many fold-out illustrations. Printed by Henry Hughes. Book appears to have a new, but contemporary looking leather spine, with raised bands, gilt decorations and red/green boxes. Scuffing and marks to covers, bumping and wear to corners. Ink stamp to front free endpaper. Some page browning and foxing.
Designed, Engraved and Written by W.H.Pyne. Large format. 15 x 10.5 inches. Full blue straight-grained morocco binding. All edges gilt. Gilt titles and decorations to spine. Gilt decorative borders to covers. Hand-coloured vignette to title page plus 60 hand-coloured engraved plates. A fascinating glimpse of Britain at the very beginning of the 19th century. All plates present and in very good condition. Front endpaper professionally repaired at top corner. Small inscription in ink to verso of front endpaper. Some text pages browned by offsetting from plates. One text page is detached, browned and slightly chipped at edge. Armorial bookplate of Philip Davies Cooke, who was Sheriff of Flintshire, to front pastedown. Overall a handsome copy of this scarce book.
Dark brown leather covers, more recent grey leather spine with raised bands and gilt titles. Large folding colour map to front. xi + 397 pages + 2 large folding b/w maps. Colour map has a closed tear repaired on verso. New endpapers.
