True animal stories, some of which appeared first in the Children's Magazine "Sunday", others are found in books of biography or travel, by writers whose names are well known. Pictorial boards. 6.75 x 5.25". 6 colour plates plus b/w illustrations. Backstrip almost detached and in two halves. Boards scuffed and worn and slightly bowed. Joints cracked. Name in ink to front endpaper. Pale foxing and small dampstain to endpapers. Contents generally clean.

An agreeable Garland of Prose & Poetry for the Instruction and Amusement of little Masters and Misses and their distinguished Parents. Large format. Brown decorated boards with gilt title to spine. Embellished with some 750 elegant woodcuts and Engravings of which upwards of 125 are coloured. 232 pages. Spine slightly bumped. Pictorial wrapper is price-cut and very slightly grubby.

Pictorial boards with blue cloth spine. First story 'There is no place like home'. Some colour paltes and many b/w text illustrations. Boards edge rubbed and a bit grubby. Spine bumped. Inscription to front endpaper. Contents browned. A lovely reading copy.

Spine and corners bumped. Contents a little spotted. One colour plate badly creased and tape repaired. One joint cracked. Some colouring to a couple of illustrations. A nice reading copy.

B/w illustrations throughout including one small picture by Wain featuring 3 cats in the sea. Corners worn. Edges rubbed. Spine slightly faded. Prizeplate to front pastedown. Contents browned and foxed affecting margins of plates.
