A volume of original pictures, stories and verses. Edited and arranged by Alfred J. Fuller. Large format. Grey cloth spine. Pictorial front board showing small girl reading a magazine with 3 kittens watching over her shoulders. First story is "Little Mistress Valentia" by Henty. 143 pages. 12 colour plates, b/w illustrations throughout. Bumping and wear to spine and corners. A few scuff marks to covers. Inscription in ink to front endpaper. A few marks to outer page edges.
Or Adventures Among the Story People. Blue cloth covers with pictorial onlay. Gilt titles to spine. 4 colour plates plus 24 two-tone full page illustrations. 286 pages. Spine split for 3.5" along front edge. Top part of spine looks to have been glued into place. Spine darkened with small splits at either end and middle of rear edge. Corners bumped and worn. Covers grubby and marked. Nick to onlay. All plates are present but frontis is detached. Top 2" of front joint broken. Pen writing to publisher's page. Foxing and marks to contents throughout.
Red cloth spine with black titles. Pictorial front cover with red title. 4 colour and 4 b/w plates. Contains 5 W.E. Johns stories. Spine bumped and faded. Corners are bumped and worn. Board edges are rubbed. Title on front is partially faded. Marks to rear board. Joints and several hinges are cracked, some almost broken leading to some pages starting to be become detached. Inscription in ink to front endpaper with address written in pencil below. Drawings in pencil to rear endpaper. Evidence of bookwork damage on several pages. Two plates are missing - 1 colour and 1 b/w. Foxing and grubby marks throughout including several pencil marks. A reading copy.

Spine and corners are worn, scuffing to covers. Vertical creases to centre of rear endpaper. Front endpaper is creased and has inscription in ink to front endpaper. Endpapers lightly browned. Light page browning throughout else contents clean. 2 gatherings are detached from staples. Some page margin tears.

Corners bumped and worn. 1.5" tear to front cover which also has a very small patch of surface paper damage. Damp mark to top of rear cover which is also a little grubby. Board edges are rubbed. Name and date to front pastedown. Front joint cracked, showing webbing underneath. Page browning, a little fingering otherwise contents are generally clean.

Mounted colour frontis (chromolithograph) plus b/w illustrations. 3 page book list to rear. Spine bumped and faded. Corners bumped and rubbed. Some marks to rear board. Front board a little grubby. Prize plate to front pastedown. Front joint and a couple of hinges cracked. Some pages a little detached at bottom but binding generally tight. Tears to a couple of pages. Page edge browning. Some fingering and a few marks to contents.
Large format. Attractive pictorial green cloth with gilt title to front cover, black title to spine and bevelled edges. Floral decorated endpapers. 104 pages, all edges gilt. B/w illustrations to text throughout. Spine and corners slightly bumped and rubbed. A few light marks to covers else bright and clean. Inscription in ink to half-title and a small ink mark to verso of front-endpaper. Half-title and last text page are lightly browned. One page has a horizontal tear to centre of page. Some light fingermarks to page margins otherwise a nice, clean copy.
Large format. Cloth spine. Pictorial front board shows boy and girl on barrel in the sea. Colour plates and b/w illustrations, all by the same artist, a few very similar to the style of Arthur Rackham. First story is "John, Topsy and the Raven". Lower edges rubbed, corners worn. Small patch of surface paper loss to top front corner of cover. A few stains to cloth spine. Belongs to box completed in pencil. Page browning else contents fine.

First story is "The Goose Step". Spine , corners and cover edges are worn. Name and address in pencil to front endpaper. Contents lightly browned and a bit grubby. Some inner margins are partly torn. Front joint split at top and bottom 2". Some hinges cracked/pulled causing contents to be a little loose.
Pictorial boards, cloth spine. Contains numerous short stories, b/w illustrations throughout, 4 colour plates. Spine rebacked with blue cloth (not very professionally as it is coming away from the front board). Covers are edge worn and there is a damp stain to the edge of the rear cover. Inscription in ink to half-title. Front joint has been neatly repaired.
