Very good condition in a very good dustwrapper. Claude Eatherly was the pilot of the plane that dropped the atomic bomb on Hiroshima. Since then, he has been almost constantly under psychiatric care. He is said to have blamed himself for "killing 100,000 innocent people", and to have sought punishment by committing a series of bizarre crimes. Black cloth boards, gilt title to spine. 299 pages.
Foxing to text block and prelims, endpapers lightly browned. Dustwrapper is edge-rubbed with slight loss, and scuffed.
