Blue cloth, black title to spine. B/w photo plates. 232 pages and 30 pages of adverts to rear. 7.5 x 5". Spine and corners bumped, slight fading to spine. Foxing to contents. Dustwrapper has loss to spine and corners (particularly lower front corner), is edge worn and torn and grubby to rear panel/spine.

Red cloth spine with black titles. Pictorial front cover with red title. 4 colour and 4 b/w plates. Contains 5 W.E. Johns stories. Spine bumped and faded. Corners are bumped and worn. Board edges are rubbed. Title on front is partially faded. Marks to rear board. Joints and several hinges are cracked, some almost broken leading to some pages starting to be become detached. Inscription in ink to front endpaper with address written in pencil below. Drawings in pencil to rear endpaper. Evidence of bookwork damage on several pages. Two plates are missing - 1 colour and 1 b/w. Foxing and grubby marks throughout including several pencil marks. A reading copy.

Couple of small marks to covers. Initials in ink to top of front endpaper. Pages browned. Foxing throughout. Side and bottom page edges uncut. Dustwrapper is edgeworn, torn and creased with a little loss. Tape on verso covering some of the tears Spine is faded. Rear panel is grubby.

Title in English is Gimlet Comes Home. Beige boards with blue titles to spine and front board plus vignette of a stag. 188 pages. Text in French A little bumping to spine and corners and a few small marks to covers. Large corner of page 33/34 has been torn off and repaired with clear tape, which is now browned. Text affected is still readble. Pages are browned but clean. Small marks to rear pastedown. Dustwrapper is edge worn, creased and chipped with a faded spine, rear panel is a little grubby.

"Worrals in the Wilds" told in French, translation by Hot. Blue boards with orange titles and vignettes. 191 pages. Spine and corners bumped and worn. Front free-endpaper is creased, rear joint cracked. There is a tear to the half title-page and the top corner tips of last two text pages have been torn off (text not affected). "1037" has been written to the half title and title-page. The Contents are heavily browned with some grubby fingermarks but generally they are clean. Front flap of dustwrapper is missing, remainder is edge worn and there is a large tear to spine edge which has been tape repaired on verso.

Wear to edges of spine and rear panel a bit grubby.

A couple of very small splits to top and bottom of spine. Covers are grubby with a few small marks. Front joint partially broken, rest cracked but still holding firm. Frontis is MISSING. A couple of hinges are cracked. Some margin marks. Foxing throughout.
