Slightly better than good condition in a almost very good dustwrapper. The man who lost his way was Noel Marsden, an ex-Commando officer and the place he lost it was almost at the gates of a decaying country house in Inverness. Black cloth with yellow title to spine. 192 pages.
Ex-library with W.H. Smith Library label plus remains of another label and ink date stamps to front pastedown. Library address stamps to rear endpapers and last page of text. Spine and corners bumped. Front joint and a couple of hinges cracked. Small inner margin tears to several pages. Page 95/96 partially detached. Some page numbers ringed in blue ink and Browning to rear endpaper. Some light foxing and a few grubby marks but many pages are clean. Dustwrapper is edge worn and chipped. Foxing to front flap. Slim piece of tape to very edge of flap. Rear panel is a little creased.
