Good condition in a good dustwrapper. Blue cloth, vignette of parachutist to the front. Black titles. Colour frontis, 6 b/w plates.

Large damp(?) stain to rear cover. Foxing and browning to endpapers, outer page edges and some page margins. Wrapper has large tear down front side of spine; other chips and nicks of loss.

  • Biggles and Ginger parachute into Lucrania, a small country behind the iron curtain and basically run by Germany, to try and uncover the whereabouts of an important scientist.
  • Professor Max Beklinder has disappeared. The Professor was working on a secret poison gas for the British when he was reported as having been killed in a car accident in Unterhamstadt in Lucrania. Biggles is sent to find out if he is really dead and if not, to get him back. Erich von Stalhein, head of the local police, is at the hotel checking the names of the guests and is surprised to encounter two of his old foes.
