Almost very good condition. A record of experience on the Somme and Ancre fronts, with an interval behind the lines, during the latter half of the year 1916; the events described actually happened but the characters are fictious. Beige cloth boards, black titles, blocked illustration to front.
Third impression in same year as first printing. Spine browned with minor foxspots. Spine slightly cocked. Endpapers and text block browned. A few grubby margin marks. Hinges pulled but binding tight.
