Very good condition in a very good dustwrapper. A pirate story designed for boys and girls who like their pirates bold, bad and realistic! Wonderful grotesque drawings which are likely to frighten timid parents and delight normal children - and the story is fun too. The original edition of this book was published early in the war but destroyed by enemy action. The artist has coloured the plates for this edition. Cream cloth, green titles. Each page printed in a different colour. Quite irresistable! Cr 4to. Unpaginated.
Minimal bumping to spine and corners. Inscription in ink to front endpaper. Brown spot to centre of rear pastedown otherwise contents bright and clean. Dustwrapper is complete, if a little grubby to rear panel.
