Very good condition in a fair dustwrapper. Third book in the Sadlers Wells series. Jane wants to be a dancer but her parents want her to be a veterinary surgeon, whilst her cousin Mariella would rather be with animals than train to be a dancer like her mother. The two girsl decide that Jane should masquerade as Mariells at a forth coming audition for the Sadlers Wells company. Blue cloth, gilt title to spine. B/w illustrations. 190 pages.
Spine and corners bumped, some foxing and fading to covers. Inscription in ink and some other ink writing to verso of front free-endpaper. Endpapers are partly browned. Foxing and browning to textblock. Rear joint is cracked. Dustwrapper is price-cut, browned and edge chipped with some loss to top and bottom of spine. Foxed on verso of wrapper.
