Containing 20 enlarged and coloured versions of Tenniel illustrations, with a cover painted by E. Gertrude Thompson and printed by Edmund Evans, the leading Victorian colour printer. A delightful introduction for the very young to one of the most celebrated characters in children's literature.
New cloth spine and endpapers (professionally done). Boards worn, scratched and scuffed with loss of paper at front vertical edge and rear lower corner. Some foxing, browning and a few grubby marks to contents. Binding nice and tight.
