Very good condition. THe story of a little girl called Pacita in Mexico whose father believes her to be a son... Blue cloth, gilt title to spine. Charming b/w illustrations.

Spine slightly bumped. Light spotting to covers and a faint damp stain to lower half of spine (affecting edges of covers as well). A few light foxspots to textblock. Dustwrapper is edge worn and a little grubby, large tear to lower edge of front panel (beside spine) and some slight loss to top edge beside spine.

  • Don Pancho Timidado and his wife Peseta have a small daughter called Pacita (whom her father believes is a son). Pacita is the little banditta of the story. Don Pancho Timidado plans to rob the villagers of their gold and tricks them into hiding it in places that he knows about. Unfortunately when he attempts to steal it, he is captured, but Pacita has a daring plan and eventually succeeds in obtaining a free pardon for her father, who later becomes the assistant bank manager.
