Fair condition. Second Edition. History of The Great War Military Operations based on official documents. Volume I Winter 1914-15: Battle of Neuve Chapelle: Battles of Ypres. Volume II Battles of Abuers Ridge, Festubert, and Loos. Red cloth boards with gilt titles to spine. Colour maps (sketches). Volumes I & II red cloth box of 13 and 11 maps plus 1 diagram.
Ex-library. Two text volumes boards are faded, stained and worn, library sticker to spine. Text block grubby, top edge of text block of all four volumes has library details written in ink. Library labels to endpapers. Some foxing mainly to text block. Front hinge pulled to volume I. Two map boxes are worn and stained (especially volume II) but all maps present and in very good condition (not torn). One or two instances of snail damage to margins. Sold with all faults. A good working set.
