Almost very good condition. Female prisoners in London. Red cloth boards, gilt title to spine, black title to front board with black tooling decoration to edges. B/w frontis of Sarah Swinsford swallowing buttons. 352 pages plus 31 page publisher adverts to rear.

Loss to top & tail of spine, 2" split to top of spine. Corners worn with boards exposed. Boards a little marked and darkened. Joints cracked but binding is tight. A few scattered foxspots. Contents lightly browned. Hinges lightly pulled.
