Spine and corners bumped, a few tiny dents to lower edges. Light speckles to front cover (paint?) and a light crease to lower corner of rear cover. Some puzzle and colouring pages completed. Light page browning. Contents generally clean.

Colour frontis plus b/w and two tone illustrations of cats and some of dogs throughout. REDUCED FROM £460. Top of boards and frontispiece damp stained. Edges rubbed, corners worn. Inscription in ink to front endpaper. Slight margin loss at top of title page and next four pages. A few grubby marks to last page else contents lovely, clean and bright. A nice copy of a scarce title.

Green pictorial endpapers. 24 colour plates mounted on brown paper (2 cat plates by Wain and 5 plates by Aris), numerous b/w text illustrations throughout (including many non-cat illus by Wain). 288 pages. Spine and corners bumped, corners worn, edges rubbed. A couple of scratch marks to front cover and covers slightly grubby with foxing on rear cover. Inscription in ink to verso of front endpaper. One colour plate (of a teddy) is lightly creased and one Wain plate has a light corner crease. Contents are clean.

Front endpaper shows characters from fairy tales, rear endpaper characters from nursery rhymes. Red cloth spine with black titles. 10x8". Spine is a little grubby. A few scuff marks to covers. Corners are bumped and worn. Foxing to outer page edges. A few closed margin tears. One hinge pulled. Five of six colour plates missing. 4 b/w illustrations have been coloured in.
