Good condition. Includes chapters on camp cookery, crag climbing and fell walking, secrets of the hills, eggs of insects, weather lote and round the year with a gamekeeper. Green pictorial cloth with gilt titles to spine and orange titles to front cover. 4 colour plates including frontis plus 16 b/w plates and b/w text illustrations. 287 pages.

Spine and corners bumped and worn. Top of rear board discoloured (possibly damp). Small split in cloth to top of rear board. School stamp in gilt to rear cover which has been outlined in pencil. Some marks to front board. Front joint is cracked. Frontis is detached but present. Prize presentation plate to front pastedown. Endpapers are browned. Rear endpapers are marked. Foxing to page edges. Text block edges are grubby.
