  • There is a strange mystery: the theft of papers from rooms whose doors and window are locked. How are these robberies committed and who is the thief? Somehow the mystery centres itself on Rilloby Fair, and so, of course, Enid Blyton brings a whole Fair to life, with its queer and interesting characters. Vosta and his chimpanzees, Young-Un and Billy Tell of the shooting range, Old Ma, the roundabout boy, the loud - voiced Tonnerre and his elephants and many others.
