Almost very good condition in a almost very good dustwrapper. The First Adventure of the Five Find-Outers and Dog. Discoveries, Shocks, Surprises and Excitements by the dozen! Blue cloth, magnifying glass vignette to front cover. B/w illustrations. 164 pages.

Spine is mottled brown. Name and address in ink to front endpaper. Foxing to endpapers, outer page edges and page margins. Wrapper is creased with tears and chips; a little loss; some grubby marks and browning.

  • The first of the 'Five FInd-Outers and Dog'. Five children watch a cottage being burnt down and make up their minds to find out who started the fire. They find their 'clues' and make out their list of 'suspects'. Then they set to work, helped by Buster, the Scottie Dog, and hindered by 'Clear-Orf', the village policeman.
