Almost very good condition in a good dustwrapper. Green cloth. Colour frontis. B/w illustrations. 192 pages. The First in the Faraway Tree Series.

Contained in 2nd edition (1940) dustwrapper. Damp marking/spotting to cover edges. Corners are bumped, with some wear. Inscription in ink to front endpaper. Raised, blind address to front endpaper. Foxing to endpapers and outer page edges. Two b/w illustrations have some colouring in. Wrapper is creased and grubby with some tears and chips; loss to some edges and top of spine and rear panel. Smaller chips of loss at corners.
