Very good condition in a almost very good dustwrapper. Three children, home for the holidays find a mysterious boy living next-door. Red cloth, black titles. Black and white illustrations. 184 pages.

Bumping to spine and a couple of corners. Name and address in ink to front endpaper. Rear joint is cracked to top 2.5". Foxing to endpapers and outer page edges. Wrapper is creased with edge-tears and chips; some loss; faded to spine.

  • Three children return home for the holidays to find there is a boy living next door to them - a very mysterious boy. People tell them there is no boy there, but they know there is. Who is he and why is he hiding? They tunnel under the hedge to the boy, and then the fun begins. Kit is a prisoner and is in danger of being kidnapped. The children make up their minds to save him.
