Very good condition in a almost very good dustwrapper. The Famous Five's first adventure featuring a ruined castle, a wreck and buried treasure. Red boards, black title to spine and front cover. Plain endpapers. 32 full-page b/w illustrations.

Inscriptions in ink and ink stamp to front pastedown and front endpaper. Foxing to outer page edges. Wrapper has some small chips and nicks to edges and corners; a few closed tears with light creasing.
