Very good condition in a fair dustwrapper. Pale blue boards, black titles. Plain endpapers. 32 full-page b/w drawings. The Famous Five's first adventure featuring a ruined castle, a wreck and buried treasure.

Spine bumped and lightly foxed. Slight fading to top edges of covers. Prize plate to front free-endpaper. Foxing to endpapers, prelims and textblock. Dustwrapper is worn, torn and creased with some small repairs on verso, spine is slightly browned and rear panel is a bit grubby. Largest tear is to front fold.
