Very good condition in a very good dustwrapper. Blue cloth, black titles. Blue pictorial endpapers. Colour frontis, b/w and two-colour illustrations.

Spine bumped. Some very light spotting to covers and rubbing to spine edges. Light foxing to outer page edges. Tiny piece of loss to lower corner of page 53 (margin only - no text). Some light brown marks to page margins. Contents generally very clean. Original dustwrapper is not price-cut, is slightly edge rubbed/creased with some slight loss to top and tail of spine and light browning to spine. With SIGNED bookmark (not dedicated to anyone). This copy would make a wonderful gift.

  • The Five are sent away to Smuggler's Top after a tree blows onto Kirrin Cottage. Once there they make friends with Sooty and his sister Marybelle. However their father would not have dogs in the house so Timmy had to spend his time there in secret passages. The boys spotted a light flashing in the house's tower. They think it is Block in the tower but then see him in bed at the same time. Uncle Quentin comes to stay with them but mysteriously disappears along with Sooty.
