Almost very good condition in a good dustwrapper. Grey boards, blue titles. Black and blue pictorial endpapers. B/w and two-tone illustrations.

Bumping to spine and corners and top of rear board. Board edges browned. Endpapers a little scuffed. Foxing to page edges. Top of text block a little grubby. Dustwrapper is edge worn, chipped and creased with loss to top of rear panel and bottom of spine. Some tape to verso. Front flap is partially detached and has been re-stuck with tape to verso. Wrapper is foxed

  • Seventh Book in the Famous Five series
  • Julian, Dick, George, Anne and Timmy are planning to go camping in a moor with the absent-minded and insect-loving Mr Luffy, a teacher. When they arrive at camp they find that their camping site is close to a farm, and that several old train tracks run under the moors, some of them are unused. They soon make friends with a boy named Jock, who lives at the farm with his mother and stepfather, the farm owners. While exploring the moor, the Five find a railway yard and a tunnel that are apparently abandoned.
