States 3rd impression 1949, but this is a printing error - 3rd impression was printed in 1948. This is the 4th impression. Browning to cover edges. Bumping to spine and corners. Page corner crease on page 147. Wrapper has a few closed tears and chips; only a little loss to top of spine and one corner.

As a result of being off school due to illnesses, Dick and Julian have a tutor, Mr. Roland, during the holidays in order to catch up with the work they missed. George's parents tell Mr. Roland to teach George also since George has just past her first term at boarding school and is behind her age level.
