WEEDS & ALIENS (NN 43)
Published by Collins. 2nd. 1964
Very good condition in a almost very good dustwrapper. New Naturalist No. 43. Green cloth, gilt titles. Colour frontis. 29 b/w photos, 34 line drawings, diagrams and maps. The idea that because weeds are a nuisance they must also be dull is dispelled in a few pages. Not only does the author show that an understanding of these criminals of the plant world will make their control both easier and more interesting: he also imparts to the reader something of his own delight and wonder.
SIGNED by Kenneth Allsop (naturalist, broadcaster and author to half-title page). Foxing to outer page edges. Wrapper is price-cut with browned spine; a few closed tears and chips; minimal loss.
