Full calf binding, raised bands to spine and gilt tooling, gilt title in title block. Marbled endpapers. 21 hand coloured plates representing scenes from real life, 22 wood engravings to text. All edges gilt.
Front board DETACHED. Spine rubbed. Boards a little scratched but still bright. Free front endpaper part detached from bottom. All plates present and bright, foxing to margins of plates, browning to tissue guards. Contents are tight.
