COTTAGE AT THE EDGE OF THE WORLD
Published by Hillhead Publications. 1st. 1990
Nearly fine condition in a very good dustwrapper. Autobiography. Plummer experienced a severe coronary in 1985 which ultimately caused him to leave the teaching profession and build a new life in the Scottish Highlands. His account of farming an adder-strewn 3 1/2 acre patch of land, of living by hunting rabbits, of his fishing of crabs and lobsters and ultimately sea netting, is both graphic and heartrending. Brown cloth boards, gilt title to spine. B/w illustrations.
Rear cover has a small indentation and corresponding mark to rear panel of dustwrapper. Boards otherwise clean and bright. Contents fine. Pictorial wrapper is lightly edge-creased and slightly grubby to rear panel.
