Fine condition. Limited Edition Cased Set, special numbered edition of 500 sets to commemorate the centenary of the first publication in 1902. Small format book with cream cloth and silver titles. 69 numbered pages, all edges gilt. With explanatory leaflet giving a brief biography of Beatrix Potter and the history of the publication of The Tale of Peter Rabbit. Contained in a blue hinged box with silver title and rectangular onlay to front. Also includes a blue leather foil-blocked bookmark.
This is copy no. 94. Presentation box is further protected by a white card slip band, the slip band has been slightly damaged by removal of sellotape. Contained in original brown packaging box with address labels crossed out and 'The Tale of Peter Rabbit Cotton Bound' written in blue biro to front. This copy would make a wonderful gift.
