Fine condition. Limited Edition Cased Set, special numbered edition of 125 sets to commemorate the centenary of the first publication in 1905. Small format book with cream cloth and silver titles. 56 numbered pages, all edges gilt. With explanatory leaflet giving a brief biography of Beatrix Potter and the history of the publication of The Tale of Mrs. Tiggy-Winkle. Contained in a burgundy hinged box with silver title and rectangular onlay to front. Also includes a burgundy leather foil-blocked bookmark.
It is unlikely the book has ever been opened (still a very tight binding). There are a couple of tiny/light scuff marks to presentation box edges, the box is further protected by a white card slip band. This is copy no. 59. Contained in original brown packaging box (with limitation details label to front and 'cotton' (referring to binding) written in blue biro to front. This copy would make a wonderful gift.
