Very good condition in a very good dustwrapper. Red boards, black title to spine. Embossed vignette of fish in pool to front cover. B/w illustrations. A fishing story for children set in Wales.

Bumping to a couple of corners and top and tail of spine. Small name in ink to front endpaper. Browning to endpapers and outer page edges. Wrapper is a bit browned, especially to flaps, which are also foxed.

  • Timothy is crazy about fishing so a caravan on the banks of a Welsh trout stream is his idea of a perfect holiday, even though he's only fished for tiddlers with worms. And it's even better when he makes friends with Willie Rees, the poacher, for Willie teaches Timothy about fly fishing and takes him to his own favourite spot for trout: the Pool of the Black Witch. Legend says the pool is cursed and Timothy starts to believe the old tales when he is dogged by bad luck. But all fishermen dream of catching a big one and Timothy is no exception.....
