  • In theory the Form 3 Natural History Club at Linbury Court was an undertaking worthy of encouragement. In practice, however, it was found that the study of wild life upset the smooth running of the school. And when Jennings (Chief Frog Spotter) and Darbishire (Hon. Sec.) decided to look farther afield for their specimens, things began to happen. For example: Mr. Wilkins' car developed engine trouble in mysterious circumstances: Dr. Hipkin the "scientific frogma" narrowly escaped a watery grave. But worst of all was the alleged escape of a swarm of newly graduated frogs which might be hopping about the building just as the guests arrive for Speech Day.
