RUPERT ANNUAL 1942 - MORE ADVENTURES OF RUPERT
Illustrated by Alfred Bestall
Published by Daily Express. 1942
Very good condition. Pictorial card wraps - Rupert waving from castle ramparts. Produced during the second world war when paper shortages were at their worst, this is the rarest of all the Rupert annuals. Printed only by Harrison.
Covers are edge rubbed and just a little grubby. Splits and some slight wear to top and tail of spine but otherwise spine complete. Small dent to centre of spine. Price NOT cut. Inscription in ink in belongs to box. Textblock is a bit grubby, some foxing to textblock. A few grubby fingermarks to page margins. Inside rear covers are grubby (browned glue from binding process is evident at hinge), small patch of surface paper damage affecting printers' details. A decent copy of a scarce Rupert annual.
