Nearly fine condition in a slightly better than very good dustwrapper. 56 Squadron RFC/RAF, the first squadron equipped with the SE5 fighter, was the most famous and highest-scoring British fighter squadron of World War One. This definitive history was written from official squadron records, interview with squadron members, logbooks, diaries, and letters home. Large format. Navy blue cloth boards, gilt title to spine. B/w photos. Colour illustrations of the colours and markings of the aircraft.

A nice, clean copy. Pictorial dustwrapper is lightly faded at spine and rear panel spine edge.
