Contains several self-caricatures of Rackham, including him in the guise of the 'new master' who gives the black boy a 'good scrubbing', and the man who catches a flea! Available in two separate trade editions, this is the green cloth binding with gilt titles and decorations. Green/white pictorial endpapers. 223 pages. 8 x 6". Introduction by G.K. Chesterton. New translation by Jones.

Spine browned, bumped and worn with nicks to cloth at ends. Bumping and wear to corners. Some wear to cover edges. Covers grubby with darkening to edges. Front joint starting to crack, a few hinges cracked. Gathering near centre of book, pages 97 to 104, pulled. Foxing and some marks to contents.
