The first in the Milne Pooh quartet in which we meet Winnie-The-Pooh for the first time in the Teddy Bear, poem 'A bear, however hard he tries, Grows tubby without exercise...' Delightful rhymes and illustrations. Blue cloth with gilt title to spine and vignettes to front cover. Cream pictorial endpapers. B/w text illustrations. Top edge gilt.
Bumping to spine and corners; with wear. Small nicks in cloth at top and tail of spine. A few marks to covers; scuffing to rear. Joint to rear is nearly broken; front joint appears to have been repaired (glued). Foxing to endpapers and outer page edges. A few margin marks.
