The author paints a vivid picture of life in India, as well as demonstrating the universal nature of "growing up." Small, light mark to lower edge of front cover. Endpapers lightly browned. Contents clean. Dustwrapper is edge chipped with some loss, a bit grubby and marked to rear panel.

Text block and endpapers browned. '5p' in blue ink to top corner of front pastedown. Some grubby marks to contents. Hinges are pulled but binding is tight.
