Pictorial cloth backed boards. Decorated cream endpapers. Delightful colour illustrations facing each page of verse. B/w vignettes to text. 64pp. Due to original binding technique, 4 page numbers duplicated with a little star beside the number. Oblong, 11 x 8.5". Spine and corners are bumped and worn. A few light scuff marks to covers, with a few grubby marks. A little chipping to a few corners. Cloth to spine a bit worn. Date of Christmas 1898 in ink to front endpaperand a few times to title page. A few margin tears repaired with tape. Some light margin marks - but overall contents are still bright.
