Some small marks to contents but generally clean. One plate and a text page have small closed tears to lower margins (actual picture of plate not affected). Dustwrapper has a faint damp stain to lower edge of front panel, is slightly edge creased and just a little sunned to spine. The story tells of three gnomes who live in an old tree by the side of the Folly Brook. Their brother, years before, went up the stream and never returned. In their perilous journey to find him, the three have many adventures. As ever, BB includes a wealth of natural history lore. Dustwrapper is grubby, edge worn and torn with tape repairs on verso, 2" loss to top and to bottom of spine, some slight loss to lower corner of rear panel.
