What is the SUMMERSALE?

The SUMMERSALE includes several thousand books which have a 50% discount. The sale price is shown in red alongside the original price on our website.

How do I view the sale items?

That's too many books! How do I find sale books within a particular category (for example, Ornithology books in the sale)?

To find sale items within a category, please follow these steps:-
1) Choose a category to search by clicking the Browse our Stock link on the left of the screen, and then navigating to the letter of the alphabet you want (eg. O for Ornithology) and scrolling down to find the category. Click on the category.
2) On the results page (showing all the books in your selected category), click 'Refine search' - this is located towards the top of the screen, next to the text which begins 'Your search returned X books...'.
3) You should now see a search form in which you can specify your search criteria (within the selected category). Type in SUMMERSALE (as one word) in the Keyword box and press Enter.
4) You should see a list of all the sale books within your selected category. Note: some categories may not contain any books which are included in the sale.

You can also use the Refine search link to find sale items by author, illustrator, title, keyword and so on.

I have added a sale item to my basket. Why does it show the original price and not the sale price?

The website checkout system only displays the original price. When your payment is processed, the sale discount will be applied to books within the sale. Postage rates are NOT discounted in the sale. PLEASE NOTE that the confirmation email which you will receive after placing an order will show the FULL PRICE of the sale items - the discount will be applied when payment is taken,so you will actually pay the reduced price.
