Leave it to Jennings
Back to Jennings Information Page The Summer Term at Linbury Court School would have flowed more smoothly if Jennings had not placed such faith in the fortune-teller at the village fete. For when Miss Tubbs of the General Stores and Post Office (temporarily disguised as a crystal-gazer from the mysterious East) foretold the shape of things to come Jennings was determined that her predictions should come true at all costs. Inevitably this led to a series of hilarious adventures concerning Jennings' ambitions to be chosen for the cricket team and to win the dormitory cup. Further trouble arose over such matters as the case of the camouflaged text book and the unbelievable rainfall which so nearly ruined the geographical project organised by Mr. Wilkins... But on these occasions, as in the past, it is usually best to Leave it to Jennings to unravel the tangle of msihaps in his own inimitable way... First published in 1963 by Collins |
