Good condition. Containing 32 maps. New and improved edition with consulting index. Green embossed boards with gilt titles to front. Lists of other atlases, maps and class books published by George Philip and Son to endpapers. Maps are in colour. 21 page index to rear of book.
Spine and corners are bumped and worn. Cloth at top of spine is frayed. A few marks to covers. Front and rear joints are broken showing webbing beneath but pages are still tightly bound. Front endpaper has hole in it affecting a little of the text. Surface paper damage to both front and back pastedowns. Endpapers are browned. Heavy foxing to prelims and some other pages.
