Almost very good condition in a good dustwrapper. Madeline and her friends fly to London and bring comfort and joy to a very lonely birthday boy. Large format. Pictorial boards. Charming colour pictures.
Spine bumped and worn with small splits at either end. Wear to corners and cover edges. A few small marks to covers. Small brown marks to front endpapers from sticky tape. Small ink Infants School stamp to half-title page. Some corner creases and odd margin tear. Fingering to page edges and a few grubby fingermarks elsewhere. Dustwrapper is edge worn, torn and chipped with some small pieces of loss. Two large tears to rear panel have been repaired on verso with clear tape, now yellowed. Residue of tape on verso which had been stuck along bottom edge, and a couple of smaller patches to top edge.
