Good condition. Blue pictorial cloth, gilt titles. 10 b/w plates plus a map. 384 pages + 32 page booklist. Subtitled "Or A Born Leader". A story of the Boer War.
Spine is bumped, worn and browned. Corners are bumped and worn. Marks to covers which are grubby. Front joint and several hinges are cracked but binding remains fairly tight. Endpapers are browned. Inscription on half title page has been covered in white correction fluid. Creasing to bottom corner of prelims. Foxing and some grubby marks throughout. All plates present but map is missing.
