Spine is bumped and worn with small splits at either end. Vertical crease to centre, small nick to cloth near middle, also darkened. Wear to corners. Some small marks to covers including repair to tear in cloth on front cover. Front joint and a couple of hinges cracked, rear joint partially cracked. Ink inscription to front endpaper. Contents very good, all plates present.

The four children take with them a small cat to steer the boat, an elderly Quangle-Wangle to cook the dinner and a large kettle! Delightful nonsense. Light brown glazed pictorial boards, black illustrations at bottom of both covers. B/w illustrations. Spine and corners bumped. Contents fine. Dustwrapper is just a little worn at top edges with a couple of closed tears.
