Almost very good condition in a slightly better than good dustwrapper. Light blue cloth with silver lettering to spine and vignette of flying geese to front cover. B/w wood engravings throughout. An attractive country book from the pen of "BB" in which he looks back to his boyhood, tells of the friends he made, of expeditions in search of birds and first attempts at fishing and shooting. 8.75x6.5". 198 pages.
Reprint. Fading to spine and top and bottom edges. Light bumping and wear to spine and lower corners. Heavy bump to top corners affects all pages. Pages are lightly browned and endpapers have a few fox spots but otherwise contents are clean. Dustwrapper has a few edge tears and small pieces of loss. Spine is stained, rear panel is a bit grubby.
