Very good condition in a good dustwrapper. The story of a wild goose, taking the reader from snow-sheeted mountains and ice-bound seas to secret little lochs where wild birds find sanctuary. Illustrated by beautiful woodcuts which seem to have a life of their own. Blue covers, cream spine with gilt titles. 258 pages.

Spine and corners slightly bumped. Spine just a little browned. Name and date in ink to verso of half-title. Light browning to edges of endpapers. Foxing to page edges. Dustwrapper is edge worn with slight loss and tape repairs on verso, and is foxed and grubby to rear panel.
