Book of the Week: The Real Alice

I have been photographing some of our recently acquired ‘Alice’ collection. Amongst the collection is this one and I just had to flick through the pages to see what it was about.

It is a biography about Alice Liddell, said to be the inspiration behind Lewis Carroll’s Alice stories. So if you want to know when the story was first told and how it came to be published this is the book! It also gives details of what happened when Alice grew up and how even at the end of her life she was still celebrated as ‘The Real Alice’.
